Here in Australia we have (dislocation cones) which stop the top of the spring falling away and they also help to relocate the spring back into it’s perch. Which eliminates the need for straps but also allows maximum wheel travel.

The black oily fuel filter could be engine oil leaking into the fuel injection pump. I had a Duetz 5-cyl that did send motor oil back into the return line to the tank. That turned the red diesel black.

That dude rebuilding the battery probably has a super low IQ. Air born lead has shown to reduce IQ by as much as 7 points. The boomers living in the city had to breath air contaminated with lead from the tetra ethyl lead added to gasoline in increase octane. There were literally millions of tons of that put into the atmosphere from this source alone. No environmental protection for the guy at all. The lead in the air and absorbed through the skin will kill this guy before he is 40.

FYI it is washer fluid in those buckets, literally employees open jugs of it to pour in. Some even have a company with a truck fill a tank so they don't have to do that anymore. But it's literally the normal blue wiper fluid every gas station sells
